Like elephants coming to the river· Verses 13–15

13Lord, seeing you rise before us like this, lotus-navelled one, the thing we have wanted so long, we have all come to rest today, as elephants burnt by a forest fire come to the water of the Ganga. 14You are that; so give us your orders, the guardians of all the worlds. We have come to the sole of your foot for what you know we came for. What else is there to tell you, self within and without, witness of everything? 15I, and the guardian of the mountain, and the gods, and Daksa and the rest, are sparks of you as sparks are of a fire. What could we know, Lord, shining each apart? Lay peace on us, and the counsel that serves brahmins and gods.
