Meanwhile Visnu, the Lord, who knows every means there is, took on a woman's form, past all wonder and not to be described: dark as a blue lotus and worth the looking at, lovely in every limb, both its earrings alike, its face fine of cheek and high of nose, the waist slender under the weight of breasts that new youth had brought out, the eyes made restless by the humming of the bees that loved the sweetness of its mouth, wearing on the great weight of its fine hair a garland of open jasmine, an ornament on a lovely throat, armlets on lovely arms, with the beauty of hips like an island wrapped in spotless cloth, with a girdle, and with anklets shining and ringing sweetly on the moving feet,

and with looks thrown from arched brows and a shy smile, lighting desire again and again in the hearts of the leaders of the Daitya bands.
