The same work, and a different fruit· Verses 27–29

When the nectar had nearly all been drunk by the gods, the Bhagavan, who brings the worlds into being, Hari, took up his own form again before the eyes of the demon lords. So the hosts of gods and antigods were alike in place, in time, in cause, in aim, in the work and in the mind they brought to it, and yet were unlike in what came of it. There the gods came by the nectar for their fruit, and came by it easily, from having taken shelter at the dust of his lotus feet; the Daityas did not. Whatever men bring to bear with breath and wealth and work and mind and speech upon the body and children and the rest is unreal, because it is done in separateness. What is done with those same things and not in separateness becomes real, and it is the watering of the root of everything.
