When the eighth period has come, Savarni will be the Manu. Nirmoka and Virajaska and the rest are Savarni's sons, king. There the gods will be the Sutapas, the Virajas and the Amrtaprabhas; and among them Bali, Virocana's son, will be Indra. He it is who, having given this earth in three steps to Visnu when he asked for it, will let go of the station of Indra that he had won, and by that will come to attainment. He whom the Bhagavan bound, and then, being pleased with him, settled again in Sutala, a place better than heaven, where he lives now like a king in his own right. Galava, Diptiman, Rama, Drona's son, Krpa, Rsyasrnga, and our own father the revered Badarayana:

these will be the seven sages then, by their own yoga. Just now, king, they are living each in his own circle of hermitages. Of Devaguhya, in Sarasvati, will be born the master called Sarvabhauma; and the Lord will take the station from the breaker of forts and give it to Bali.
