1Revered one, in the periods of the Manus, how do these stand, the Manus and the rest? Tell me who is appointed to what work, and by whom. 2The Manus and the sons of the Manus and the sages, lord of the earth, and the Indras and the hosts of gods, all of them stand under the rule of the Person. 3Those bodies of the Person that have been spoken of, Yajna and the rest, king: driven on by these, the Manus and the others carry the world's going forward.
