4At the end of four ages the collections of what is heard are swallowed by time; the sages see them by austerity, and from them comes the lasting dharma. 5Then the Manus, told to do it by Hari and setting themselves to it, make dharma walk the earth on its four feet, king, each in his own time. 6The guardians of creatures guard, each with his own share, until the end; and so do the gods who eat their share of the sacrifice, and those who go along with them there. 7Indra, enjoying the great fortune of the three worlds that the Bhagavan gave him, guards the three worlds and rains upon the world as much as is wanted.
