Knowing that the child taking its place in Aditi was the Bhagavan, the everlasting, the golden womb praised him with his hidden names. Victory to you, widely sung, Bhagavan, wide-strider: salutation to you. Salutation to the god who is kind to brahmins; salutation and salutation to him of the three strands. Salutation to you, born of Prsni, whose womb is the Veda, the ordainer; to him of three navels, of three backs, entered into the rays, to Visnu. You are the beginning and the end and the middle of the world, and they call you the Person whose power has no end. You are time, ruler, and you draw the whole world in, as a deep current draws in what has fallen into it.

You are the one from whom creatures come to be, the still and the moving, and the lords of creatures too. God, for those who live in heaven and have fallen from heaven you are the one resort, as a boat is for a man sinking in the water.
