Verse 25

²⁵Hearing what their master said, the leaders of the Daitya and Danava bands, beaten by the companions of Visnu, went down into the world below, king. ²⁶Then the son of Tarksya, the sovereign of birds, knowing what his lord wished done, bound Bali with the cords of Varuna on the pressing day of the sacrifice. ²⁷A great cry of grief went up from earth and sky and every quarter as the lord of the demons was seized by Visnu, whose power holds.
