25So bewildered by him, who spoke in that sweet speech, he said to him: Who are you, bewildering us in the shape of a fish? 26No water-goer with strength like this have we seen, or so much as heard of: you who in a day have filled out a lake a hundred leagues across. 27Surely you are the Bhagavan himself, Hari, Narayana, who does not wear away, and to be gracious to living things you take on the shape of those whose home is water. 28Homage to you, best of Persons, lord of the standing and the rising and the going of things. For us who are devoted and have come to you for refuge you are the first, you are the way of the self, mighty one.
29All your descents made in play are the cause of thriving for living things. I want to know for what this form of yours was taken. 30Lotus-eyed, a coming near to your feet is never wasted, for you are the friend of all and the self they love; it is not as it is with others, who hold themselves apart. And you have shown us this body, which is a wonder to us.
