Ah, king, those you had set in your heart have been stopped by time. Of their sons and their grandsons and their grandsons' sons we do not so much as hear the family names. A stretch of time reckoned as thrice nine turns of the four ages has gone by. So go now. Baladeva of great strength, a portion of the god of gods, give him this jewel of a girl, king. He is a jewel among men. For the taking down of the earth's burden the Bhagavan, who brings beings into being, has come down with a portion of himself, he whose hearing and whose praising are holy. So instructed, the king bowed to the unborn and came back to his own city, which his brothers had abandoned out of fear of the Punyajanas, and had settled in the far quarters.

He gave his daughter, faultless in every limb, to Bala who is rich in strength, and then the king went to Narayana's hermitage called Badari, to do austerity there.
