46The gods, whose senses and whose thought are scattered outward, do not find the beloved Self standing always in their own heart. How much less do the rest of us. 47So now, out of love for the maker of everything, I let go of the clinging to the strands, which the Lord's maya has put together, like a city of gandharvas in the sky, and which has grown by nature in the self; and I go to him for refuge. 48Resolved on this, with an understanding that Narayana had taken hold of, he let go of ignorance, the sense that there is anything other, and then stood in his own being. 49That highest Brahman, subtle, not empty though it is taken for emptiness, is the one whom the Satvatas praise as the Bhagavan, Vasudeva.
