13The ocean, its crocodiles and sea-beasts thrown into panic by the fall of his sidelong look, rolled in the play of his anger, its own roar swallowed in fear, took a body, carried an offering on its head, came to his lotus feet and said this. 14We are dull of mind and do not know you, boundless one, unmoved at the top of things, the first Person, ruler of the worlds. From your clarity come the hosts of gods, from your passion the lords of creatures, from your anger the lords of spirits. You are the lord of the strands. 15Go as you please. Kill this foul stain of Visravas, who makes the three worlds cry out, and take your wife back, hero. Build your bridge here, so your fame may spread; kings out to conquer the quarters will come to it and sing of you.
