From Krtadhvaja came Kesidhvaja, and from Mitadhvaja, Khandikya. The son of Krtadhvaja, king, was skilled in the knowledge of the self. Khandikya knew what works really are, and in fear he ran from Kesidhvaja. Bhanuman was his son, and Satadyumna was that man's son. Suci was his son, and from him Sanadvaja was born; from Sanadvaja, Urjaketu; then Aja, and his son Purujit. His son too was Aristanemi, and his Srutayus, and his Suparsvaka; then Citraratha, whose son Ksemadhi was lord of Mithila. From him Samaratha, and his son Satyaratha, and then Upaguru; from him Upagupta, who was born of fire.
