Verse 3

¹Now hear, king, the cleansing line of Soma, in which the kings from Ila's son onward are told of, whose fame is holy. ²From the lotus in the navel-pool of the thousand-headed Person the Ordainer was born, and the Ordainer had a son, Atri, who matched his father in every merit. ³From his eyes came a son, Soma, made of the deathless drink, whom Brahma set up as lord over the brahmins, the plants and the hosts of stars.
