1From Urvasi's womb, king, Aila had six sons: Ayu, Srutayu, Satyayu, Raya, and then Vijaya and Jaya. 2Srutayu's son was Vasuman, and Satyayu's was Srutanjaya. Raya had one son, and Jaya's child was Amita. 3Vijaya's son was Bhima, then came Kancana, and after him Hotraka. His son was Jahnu, who made a mouthful of the Ganga and drank her down. Jahnu's son was Puru, and his son Balaka, and his son Ajaka. 4After him came Kusa; and Kusa also had four sons, Kusambu, Tanaya, Vasu and Kusanabha. Gadhi was born of Kusambu.
