That best of women took him, whose valour none could get past, born of a portion of a portion of Hari, and came near to her husband. When the king would not take his wife and son, who were without blame, a voice with no body to it spoke out of the sky, and every being heard it. The mother is the bag; the son is the father's; the one by whom he was begotten is himself the son. Bear up your son, Dusmanta, and do not slight Sakuntala. The son who comes of a man's seed carries him out of Yama's house, god among men; and you are the one who set this child in the womb. Sakuntala has told the truth. When his father died he became an emperor of great renown, and his greatness is sung on the earth, for he was born of a portion of Hari.
