On the road a voice with no body spoke to Kamsa, who held the reins: Fool, the eighth child of this woman you are driving will be your killer. So spoken to, that vile and sinful man, the disgrace of the Bhojas, took his sister by the hair with a sword in his hand, and set about killing her. To him, whose act was loathsome, cruel and without shame, the greatly favoured Vasudeva spoke, soothing him. The brave praise your qualities, and you make the fame of the Bhojas. How should such a man kill his sister, a woman, on the day of her wedding?
