22A man who lives by sheer cruelty is dead already while he lives; when his body dies people curse him, and he who takes himself for his body goes surely into the blind dark. 23So, turning back of himself from that most terrible act, the master waited for the birth of Hari, keeping his enmity up all the while. 24Sitting, lying down, standing, eating, walking about the earth, he thought of the lord of the senses and saw the world made of him. 25Brahma and Bhava came there with the sages, Narada and the rest, and with the gods and their followers, and they praised the bountiful one in words.
