The noose of time· Verses 43–46

Having taken counsel so with his bad counsellors, Kamsa, of a bad mind, thought harm done to brahmins was good for him, a demon wrapped about by the noose of time. He set the Danavas, who love havoc and take what shape they wish, to making havoc of the world of the good in every quarter, and went into his house. Those whose nature was passion, their minds dulled by darkness, went about hating the good, with their death already come close to them. Trespass against the great destroys a man's life and fortune and fame and dharma, his worlds and the boons he prays for, and everything good that is his.
