12This son of Rohini, who gives his friends delight by his qualities, will be spoken of as Rama; and for his greater strength they know him as Bala; and because he is not held apart from the Yadus, they call him Sankarsana. 13This one has had three colours, taking on bodies age after age: white, red and yellow; and now he has come to blackness. 14Before this, your son was born somewhere as Vasudeva's; and for that those who know call the fortunate one Vasudeva. 15There are many names and many forms of this son of yours, matching his qualities and his acts. I know them; other people do not. 16He will set your good in place, this joy of the cowherds and of the cow settlement. Through him you will cross over every hard place easily.
