Seeing how his own mother had worn herself out, her body running with sweat, the garland fallen out of her braid, Krsna out of kindness let himself be bound. In this way, dear one, Hari showed how he can be mastered by those who serve him: Krsna, who is in no one's power, though this world with its lords is in his. Neither Virinca nor Bhava, nor even Sri who has her refuge in him, ever received from the giver of release that kindness which the cowherd woman received. The Bhagavan, the son of the cowherd woman, is not easily come by for those who wear bodies, nor for knowers who have become the self, as he is here for those who have devotion.
