7Coaxed by the cowherd women, the Bhagavan would dance like a child; sometimes he sang out, all innocent, in their hands like a wooden puppet. 8Sometimes when he was told to he carried a stool, a measure, a sandal; and he would slap his arms together, and bring delight to his own people. 9So the Bhagavan, showing to the world of those who understand it how he can be mastered by those who serve him, carried joy to Vraja by the doings of a child. 10Buy fruit here! Hearing that, the Unfallen took up grain at once, wanting fruit, and went off: he who gives every fruit there is. 11The fruit-seller filled his two small hands with fruit, though the grain in them had spilled away; and her fruit basket was filled up with jewels.
