What the touch of him did· Verses 37–39

37This deed of Hari's from his childhood, the freeing of themselves and of the snake from death, the boys had seen; and in their boyhood they told it in Vraja, still amazed. 38There is nothing strange in this for him who plays at being a human child, the highest ordainer of the high and the low: since Agha too, his sins washed away by that touch, came to a likeness with him which the worthless hardly ever reach. 39An image of his body, made only in the mind and set within once, gave the going that belongs to the Lord's own. What then when he himself has gone inside, in whom maya is thrown off by the constant tasting of the self's own joy?
