By then the self-born one had come back, after the passing of a moment by his own reckoning, and saw Hari with all of them, playing just as before, a whole year gone. All the boys in Gokula, with the calves, every one of them, lie asleep on the bed of my maya, and have not got up again even now. Then these here, who are other than the ones my maya deluded, where have they come from? There are just as many of them, playing for a year with Visnu. Having thought a long while about these two sets, the self-born one could not tell in any way which were the true ones and which were not. So the unborn one, trying to bewilder Visnu, who is past bewildering and who bewilders the world, was himself bewildered by his own maya.

Like mist in the dark of night, like a firefly's glow in the daytime, a lesser maya set against a great one destroys the power of the one who turns it on him.
