And the Bhagavan Govinda, the master, fed the cowherd boys with that same food of four kinds, and ate himself. So, in a human body for the play of it, going along with the ways of the world of men, he took his pleasure, and gave pleasure to the cows and the cowherds and the cowherd women by his form, his words and his doings. Then the brahmins thought it over and were sorry, for they had done wrong: that we refused what those two lords of all asked of us, who take on human shape. Seeing the women's devotion to Krsna the Bhagavan, which was not of this world, and seeing themselves without it, they were full of regret and blamed themselves.
