8Parjanya is the revered Indra, and the clouds are his own bodies. They rain down the water that gladdens living beings and keeps them alive. 9That lord and master of the cloud-loosers, my child, we and other men worship with rites, using things that his own seed has made. 10On what is left of them people live, for the fruit of the three ends of life. Parjanya is the one who makes the fruit for men who put out their own effort. 11A man who lets go of a dharma that has come down through the line like this, out of desire or greed or fear or hate, gets nothing good by it.
