Seeing the sky free of cloud and the sun risen, and the cruel wind and rain at an end, the holder of Govardhana said to the cowherds: Go out, cowherds, and let your fear go, with your women and your goods and your little ones. The wind and rain have stopped and the streams have almost run dry. Then the cowherds went out, each taking his own cattle, their gear loaded on the carts, the women and children and old people going slowly. And the Bhagavan, the master, while every creature watched, set that hill back in its own place as it had been before, and did it in play.
