¹Vraja is the greater because you were born in it, and Indira lives here always. Beloved, let yourself be seen: your own people, who keep their breath for you alone, are searching for you in every direction. ²Your eyes take the beauty from the heart of a fine lotus grown in an autumn pool. Lord of love-making, giver of gifts, when you kill us with them, us who are your slaves and were bought for no price, is that not murder? ³From the poisoned water and from death, from the snake and the raksasa, from the rain and the wind, from the fire of the lightning, from the bull and from Maya's son, from fear on every side, you have saved us again and again, bull among men.
