And with that foot you walk the wilderness· Verses 17–19

17Seeing your words in secret, the rising of desire in the heart, your laughing face, your loving look, and your broad chest, the house of Sri, our longing grows past bearing and our minds go from us, again and again. 18Dear one, your showing yourself to those who live in the woods of Vraja kills trouble and is auspicious for the whole world. Give us a little of it, whose selves are longing for you: it is the thing that puts down the ache in the hearts of your own people. 19Your tender lotus foot, beloved, we set on our breasts slowly and in fear, because they are rough. And with that foot you walk the wilderness. Does it not hurt? Is it not cut by the stones and the rest? Our minds reel, whose whole life is you.
