Krsna, Krsna, they all cried, and went to Govinda for shelter. And the Bhagavan, seeing Gokula scattered in fear, steadied them with a word, do not be afraid, and called out to the bull demon: what is this, you dull thing, frightening cowherds and cattle, you lowest of the low? I am the one who breaks the pride of the strength of evil creatures like you, of your black heart. So saying, the Unfallen slapped his arms and roused Arista with the sound of his palms, and Hari stood there with the length of his arm laid out on a friend's shoulder. And Arista, roused in this way, scraping the earth with his hoof, his raised tail scattering the clouds, rushed at Krsna in his rage.

With the points of his horns held out before him, his eyes fixed and full of blood, he looked sidelong at the Unfallen and came on fast, like a thunderbolt let go by Indra.
