We ask of the Bhagavan, who is a mass of pure knowing, whole in his own standing, in whom every purpose is complete and no wish comes to nothing, from whom by his own fire the flow of maya's strands has turned away for good. You are the Lord, resting on yourself, and by your own maya the whole spread of separate things has been shaped. Today you have taken a human body for play. I bow to you, who carry the Yadus and Vrsnis and Satvatas. Having bowed in this way to Krsna the lord of the Yadus, the sage, first among the Lord's own, was given leave and went, and the sight of him had been a festival. And the Bhagavan, Govinda, having killed Kesin in the fight, tended the animals with the glad herdsmen, bringing happiness to Vraja.
