1Seated at his ease on a couch and greatly honoured by Rama and Krsna, he got every wish he had made on the road. 2What is there that cannot be had when the Bhagavan, the house of Sri, is pleased? And even so, king, those who are given over to him want nothing at all. 3When he had taken his evening meal, the Bhagavan, Devaki's son, asked what Kamsa had done to their friends and what else he meant to do. 4Bhagavan said: Uncle, gentle one, did you come easily? Welcome to you; may it be well with you. Are our own kin and our relatives free of sickness and free of trouble? 5But what welfare of ours am I to ask after, dear one, while Kamsa thrives, who is the sickness of the family and carries the name of uncle: what welfare of our own people, or of his subjects?
6How much trouble came to my noble parents from us: for our sake their sons were killed, and for our sake the two of them were put in chains. 7By good fortune I have today the sight of my own that I have wanted, gentle one. Tell me, uncle, the reason for your coming.
