43Then the two went to the house of Sudaman, who made garlands. Seeing them, he stood up and bowed with his head to the ground. 44He brought a seat for them both, and water for their feet, and with the welcome offering and the honours and the rest he worshipped them and their followers, with garlands and betel and ointments. 45He said: our birth has come to something now, my lord, and our family is made clean. The fathers, the gods and the sages are satisfied with me, since the two of you have come. 46You two are surely the highest cause of this whole world, and you have come down here by a portion of yourselves, for its safety and for its growth.
47There is nothing uneven in your looking, you two who are friends and the self of the world, the same toward all beings, even while you give back the love of the man who loves you. 48So command your servant. What shall I do for you two? It is the highest favour a man can have, that you should set him to something.
