Verse 45

⁴²In this way seventeen times, with a force of that many armies, the king of Magadha made war on the Yadus, who were kept safe by Krsna. ⁴³And the Vrsnis, by the splendour of Krsna, wore that whole force away; and each time, his armies killed, the king was let go by his enemies and went. ⁴⁴As the eighteenth battle was coming on, in the time between, a hero appeared, a Yavana, sent by Narada. ⁴⁵He came and shut Mathura in with thirty million barbarians. He had no match in the world of men, and he had heard that the Vrsnis were a match for him.
