Seeing him, Krsna, with Sankarsana beside him, thought: A great trouble has come on the Yadus, and it comes from both sides. This Yavana of great strength is shutting us in now, and the Magadha king will come today, or tomorrow, or the day after. If the son of Jara comes while the two of us are fighting this one, the strong man will kill our kinsmen, or take them off to his own city. So today we will make a fort that no two-footed man can get into; we will settle our kinsmen there, and then have the Yavana killed. Having taken counsel so, the Bhagavan had a stronghold made twelve leagues across, a city inside the sea, a wonder from end to end.
