1Seeing him come out, like the moon rising, the loveliest thing to look at, dark, dressed in yellow silk, 2with the Srivatsa on his chest and the shining Kaustubha loose at his throat, his four arms broad and long, his eyes red like fresh lotuses, 3always in good cheer, his cheeks beautiful, his smile clean, wearing that lotus face with the fish-shaped earrings flashing at it, 4This must be Vasudeva: a man marked with the Srivatsa, four-armed, lotus-eyed, wearing a garland from the woods, very beautiful. 5By the signs Narada gave, he can be no one else. He goes on foot and carries no weapon; so I will fight him without weapons.
