There came Salva, Jarasandha, Dantavakra and Viduratha, and Paundraka and the rest in their thousands, all on the Cedi's side, hating Krsna and Rama, bent on securing the girl for the Cedi. If Krsna should come and carry her off, ringed by Rama and the other Yadus, we will fight him all together: so they were settled in mind, and all those kings came with their whole strength and their mounts. Hearing this effort of the hostile kings, and that Krsna had gone alone to carry off the girl, the Bhagavan Rama feared a quarrel; flooded with love for his brother, he went in haste to Kundina with a great force of elephants and horses and chariots and foot.
