While Vaidarbhi was weighing it so, the son of Devaki, him whose renown is highest, came with Devaki and Anakadundubhi. Though the Bhagavan, Janardana, knew what it was, he kept still; and Narada told the whole of it, from the carrying off by Sambara onward. Hearing that great wonder, the women of Krsna's inner rooms welcomed the one lost for many years, come back as though from the dead. Devaki and Vasudeva, Krsna and Rama, and the women too, and Rukmini, embraced the two of them, husband and wife, and were glad. Hearing that Pradyumna, who was lost, had come, the people of Dvaraka said: The boy has come back as if from the dead. What good fortune this is.

That is no wonder at all in Kama, in love itself brought within reach of the eyes, the image of the image of him in whom Fortune has her seat; how much more so with other women.
