26I know you: the breath of all beings, their vigour, their force, their strength; Visnu, the ancient Person, him whose power reaches everywhere, the Lord over all. 27You are the maker of the makers of the world, and what is real in the things to be made as well; the time of those who measure out time, the Lord, the supreme Self, and so the self of the selves. 28By the loosing of a little of his angry sidelong glance the sea, its crocodiles and its great fish churned up, showed him a road; a bridge was made, his own fame lit up, and Lanka too, and the heads of the raksasas, cut by arrows, fell to the ground. 29Great king, to the bear king, who had come to that knowledge, the Unfallen, the Bhagavan, son of Devaki, spoke.
30The lotus-eyed one touched him with his hand that brings peace, out of the highest pity, one devoted to him, and with a voice deep with love he said: 31Lord of the bears, we have come to this cave for the jewel's sake, to wipe off with this jewel the false charge laid on me. 32Told this, he gladly gave Krsna his own daughter, the girl Jambavati, along with the jewel, as a gift of honour.
