I will have no other husband· Verses 20–23
कालिन्द्युवाच ।अहं देवस्य सवितुर्दुहिता पतिमिच्छती ।विष्णुं वरेण्यं वरदं तपः परममास्थितः

20Kalindi said: I am the daughter of the god the sun, and I want a husband: Visnu, the one to be chosen, the giver of what is asked for. I have taken to the highest austerity. 21Hero, I will choose no husband but him, the dwelling of Sri. May that Bhagavan Mukunda, the refuge of those who have none, be pleased with me. 22I am called Kalindi, and I live in the water of the Yamuna, in a house my father made, until I see the Unfallen. 23Gudakesa said all this to Vasudeva; and he, who knew it already, took her up on the chariot and went to the king of dharma.
