That lord of Kosala was pleased, and honoured him with rising to meet him and with a seat and the rest, and with a heavy gift of honour; and he was greeted in return. Seeing the husband she had set her heart on come to her, the king's daughter longed for Fortune's lord: May he be my husband; may the fire make my hopes come true, if I have held him fast with my vows. He the dust of whose lotus feet Sri carries on her head, and the lotus-born too, and the lord of the mountain with the guardians of the worlds; who, his body being play, has taken bodies in their times out of a wish to hold the line he himself laid down: by what could that Bhagavan be pleased with me?

Having worshipped him, he spoke again: Narayana, master of the world, what can I do, small as I am, for one who is full with the joy that is his own self? Delight of the Kurus, the Bhagavan was glad and took the seat he was offered, and spoke to him smiling, in a voice deep as a cloud.
