His daughter, Usa by name, in a dream had the love of Pradyumna's son. The girl had a lover she had never before seen or heard of. Not finding him there, calling out, Where are you, my love, she started up in the middle of her friends, shaken and deeply ashamed. Bana's minister was Kumbhanda, and Citralekha was his daughter. Being her friend, and full of curiosity, she asked her friend Usa: Whom are you looking for, fine-browed one? What is this longing of yours? King's daughter, I have not yet seen anyone take your hand. In a dream some man was seen, dark, with eyes like lotuses, dressed in yellow, with long arms, of the sort that goes straight to women's hearts.

It is that lover I am looking for. He gave me his lip to drink like honey, and then he went off somewhere and left me wanting him, thrown into a sea of trouble. I will take this trouble off you, if he is anywhere in the three worlds. I will bring you the man who stole your mind. Only point him out.
