Satyaki and Carudesna, Samba, Akrura with his younger brothers, the son of Hrdika, Bhanuvinda, Gada, and Suka and Sarana, and other great archers, leaders over the leaders of the chariot bands, went out in armour, guarded by chariots and elephants, horses and foot. Then the fighting began between Salva's men and the Yadus, wild and enough to make the hair stand up, like the fighting of the antigods with the gods. And the son of Rukmini destroyed in a moment, with weapons of heaven, those mayas of the lord of Saubha, as the hot-rayed sun destroys the dark of night. He pierced the marshal of Salva's forces with twenty-five arrows, gold-nocked and iron-tipped, smooth at the joints.

He struck Salva with a hundred, each of his soldiers with one, their leaders with ten each, and their mounts with three each. Seeing that wonderful great deed of great-souled Pradyumna, all the soldiers there, his own and the enemy's, did him honour.
