That thing had many forms and one form; it is seen and it is not seen. Made of maya and made by Maya, it could not be made out by the enemy. Now on the ground, now in the sky, now on a hilltop, now on water, that Saubha whirled like a circling firebrand and would not stay anywhere. Wherever Salva was made out with his Saubha and his soldiers, from that place and from that the leaders of the Satvata bands let their arrows go. With arrows whose touch was fire and sun, hard to bear as poisonous snakes, his city and his army pressed hard, Salva was bewildered by what the enemy sent. The Vrsni heroes, badly hurt by the floods of weapons from the leaders of Salva's army, did not leave, any one of them, his own fight, since they wanted to win both worlds.
