32There Nanda learned that the Yadus had arrived with Krsna at their head, and came with the cowherds, their goods in their carts, wanting to see them. 33Seeing him, the Vrsnis were delighted and rose up like bodies with the breath coming back into them, and held him hard, sick as they had been from so long a parting. 34Vasudeva embraced him, overjoyed and undone by love, remembering the hardships Kamsa had made and how he had left his son in Gokula. 35Krsna and Rama embraced their parents and bowed to them and said nothing at all, for love, with their throats full of tears, foremost of the Kurus. 36He and Yasoda, greatly favoured, took the two sons up onto their own seat and held them in their arms, and the two of them let their grief go.
37Then Rohini and Devaki embraced the mistress of Vraja and, remembering the friendship she had shown them, said to her with tears in their throats: 38Mistress of Vraja, who could forget your friendship, which never left off? There is no repaying it here, not if one got Indra's own lordship. 39These two had not seen their own parents, and from the two of you, as their parents, they had all the pleasing and raising and feeding and guarding there is, and they stayed with you, lady, as the lashes stay on the eyes. Set down with you, they had nothing anywhere to fear. For the good there is no other and no own.
