And the cowherd women, having at last got Krsna, whom they had wanted so long, and cursing whoever put lashes on eyes whenever they look at him, took him wholly into their hearts through their eyes and held him there, and came into a state of being that even those forever joined in yoga find hard to reach. The Bhagavan came to them where they were, in a place apart, embraced them, asked after their health, and, laughing, said this: Friends, do you remember us at all? We went away for the sake of our own people, and we stayed away a long time, with our minds set on breaking the enemy's party. Do you think ill of us, suspecting that we forget a kindness? Surely it is the Bhagavan who joins beings together and puts them apart.

As the wind gathers a bank of clouds, and grass and cotton and dust, and then scatters them again, so the maker of beings does with beings. Devotion to me makes beings fit for what does not die. It is my good fortune that this love of me was in you, and it is what brings you to me.
