27Then Devaki there, best of the Kurus, who is all the gods, having heard that their teacher's son had been brought back by her two sons, was greatly astonished. 28Calling Krsna and Rama to hear her, and remembering her sons whom Kamsa had killed, she spoke piteously, overcome, with tears in her eyes. 29Devaki said: Rama, Rama, self beyond measure; Krsna, lord of the lords of yoga: I know you two to be the lords of the makers of the world, the first Persons. 30For kings whose being time has broken down, who walk outside the teaching, who are becoming a burden to the earth, you have come down today, so I am told. 31By a part of a part of a part of whose part the world's making and dissolving and rising come about: self of the world, to you I have gone today for my going.
32Told by your teacher, they say, to bring back his long-dead son, you brought him from the place of the fathers as the fee for your teacher. 33So do for me too what I want, you two, lords of the lords of yoga. I want to see my sons, killed by the Bhoja king, brought back here.
