Verse 46

⁴²Bhagavan said: Having heard this instruction on the self, the sons of Brahma, the perfected, then honoured Sanandana, knowing the way of the self. ⁴³So this, the taste of every recitation, of the ancient tellings and of the upanisads, was drawn up by the great ones born before, who travel the sky. ⁴⁴And you, heir of Brahma, holding this instruction on the self with trust, go over the earth as you please: it burns up men's desires. ⁴⁵So he, self-possessed, having taken with trust what the sage had set out, being full and holding what he had heard, spoke, king: the sage whose vow is a hero's. ⁴⁶Salutation to that Bhagavan, to Krsna whose fame is unstained, who takes on lovely fragments of himself so that all beings may not come to be again.
