That great chariot-fighter married Rukmin's daughter, and from him was born a son, Aniruddha, joined with the strength of ten thousand elephants. And he too, being the daughter's son, then took Rukmin's granddaughter; and of him was born Vajra, the one left over from the affair of the clubs. From him came Pratibahu, and Subahu was his son. From Subahu came Santasena, and Satasena was his son. For none born in this line were without wealth or without many children, and none were born short of life or short of strength or unfriendly to brahmins. The number of the men born in Yadu's line, whose deeds are famed, cannot be made even in ten thousand years, king.

Three crores of thousands, and eighty-eight hundreds: so many were the teachers of the boys in the Yadu family, as it is heard. Who will make a count of the Yadavas, who are great? For among them that Ahuka stands with a hundred thousand times ten thousand of ten thousands.
