8They honoured brahmins, they gave freely, they waited always on their elders, and their thought was on Krsna. How did a brahmin's curse come upon the Vrsnis? 9What was that curse occasioned by, and what kind of curse was it, best of the twice-born? How did a split come among men who were of one mind? Tell me all of it. 10He wore a body in which every beauty was set together; he did work on the earth that was greatly auspicious; he wanted nothing, for he had it all; he kept his own abode and took his pleasure there, and his fame was open-handed. A remnant still stood of what he had come to do, and he wished to draw his family to an end.
11The sages had done rites heaped with merit and greatly auspicious, rites that take the stain of the Kali age from the world that sings them. Sent off by him who was living as time itself in the house of Vasudeva, lord of the Yadus, the sages went to Pindaraka.
